SOFTWARE FOR STUDENT SUCCESS
Mines students analyze oil and gas reservoirs with the same skill as industry professionals thanks to a multi-year, multi-million license gift of software from Schlumberger. The software is used in undergraduate and graduate level classes in petroleum engineering, geological engineering and geology by hundreds of Mines students every year and is valuable for faculty research as well.
“I use the software in my own research and am constantly evaluating new ways to integrate it into the courses I teach and the research I do at Mines,” said Bruce Trudgill, associate professor of petroleum geology.
